Barefoot in Beautiful Bucerias

All photos taken by and in collaboration with JM Photo Chicago

Since moving here to Mexico it has now become my favorite thing to share with you all cute little towns that we find. I hope you like them and would love to visit them.

We spent the day discovering the sleepy little town of Bucerias, Nayarit which is a short 15 minute drive from Puerto Vallarta, if you drive too fast on your way to Punta Mita you’ll miss it. Small little family owned shops, cafes and restaurants are what our hearts desired and this town couldn’t be more relaxing if we asked. No late night parties here, if you were thinking of going out, you might need to rethink that with restaurants & some bars closing early this town couldn’t be anymore quiet & relaxing, I think I couldn’t love a town more than I do now.

Gorgeous beach haciendas on every street corner will make you want to never leave and move in right away.

I also got to visit Bucerias open air markets which is located near their central downtown.

We walked through the Paseo del Beso (walkway of the kiss) which famous for the murals painted by local artists. Of course I had to give my husband a kiss when we passed through. This is our second kiss passage way we have found here in Mexico.

As you know, I love to shop so walking through all the shops was so much fun! I have to refrain from buying everything. What else is new?!

My favorite thing to buy here in Mexico is ceramics, I swear I could fill my whole house up with all of the beautiful ceramics that are made here. Just look at all the gorgeous colors and designs.

Throughout Bucerias there are murals painted on buildings that are done by local artists but since we were here for a day I only saw two, the Paseo del Beso and another one by the markets. Which means I gotta come back and look for the other ones.

Bucerias is famous for their mariscos, seafood, but we ended up eating at an Italian restaurant called Sandrinas which had the best Rośe Sangria, which you must try! Our friends Jeremy & Caroline who are a fantastic photography team recommend eating at La Negra Cervecheria but it was closed on Sunday.

Outfit Details: Top is from Forever 21, Shorts H&M, sandals Forever 21, hair bandanna from ASOS and my cute bag from a local market.

I hope you liked reading about the cute little town of Bucerias, we can’t wait to come back and spend more time here. If you visit Puerto Vallarta make sure to stop by!
