L.A. Love

Some you might know that I was born and grew up in Los Angeles. My family is from the East LA area so growing up here wasn’t the same as it is now. Downtown Los Angeles has become the new trendy place to go, with all the new restaurants & roof top bars but I wanted to share with you some of the places that hold a special place in my heart as they did when I was a little girl.

Los Angeles Arts District is the new place for photo ops and to eat all the new trendy cafes and unique eateries

When I was little the arts district was not like this as it is now! It has become the place for artist to come and do so much more and showcase their art. Old industrial buildings are covered with street artist designs and a place were up and coming artists can go to grow.

If you want to experience a fun place for pictures or just to try some fun eateries this is the place to go to.

Olvera Street is the place to come to if you want to get that Mexico feel without crossing the border. It is free to the public and is the first street and oldest in Los Angeles. There are monthly events and some cute markets to shop that look just like the street markets in Mexico.

My grandpa used to work at this very candle shop when he was a boy. He may or may not like my outfit that I’m wearing lol!

My favorite restaurant that I have been going to since I was a kid is Cielito Lindo their taquitos in avocado sauce is a must try!

Chili cheese on everything please! Everyone knows that after a Dodger game you all go to meet up at The Original Tommy’s . My dad has been bringing my brother and I here to this exact Tommy’s since we were young. The lines are long but service is fast and also worth the wait! My fave is aways the chili cheese fries and chili cheeseburger w/ pickles!

Annnd now it’s off to dessert, you can’t come to Los Angeles without getting some California Donuts which is open 24hrs and they have the most cutest and tastiest donates ever!

Thanks for reading my favorite childhood spots in Los Angeles. There is so much to see and do in LA that this is barely a smidge of stuff. I can’t wait to share more in the future.

As the song goes…Nobody Walks In L.A.
