Ojai Wine Festival
Could you believe that I have never been to a wine festival before? I know! If you follow me on Instagram and read my previous blog posts then you know I’m wine lover at heart and always game for finding new wines and wineries. So when I was invited to attend the annual Ojai Wine Festival on June 9th I was excited! With over 60 wineries, 35 craft brews, great vendors and live music, it made the best day at Lake Casitas. It was the perfect day for some sun and wine in Ojai.

The VIP lounge at the Ojai Wine Festival is where it’s at, they had delicious food from Stone Fire Grill, BJ’s Restaurant just to name a few and scrumptious popcorn from Hippy Pop Popcorn, which you can see that I was a total fan of because Hi I’m a popcorn addict and I have no shame in my popcorn game. My favorite flavor by the way was the Spicy Original.

With over 60 wineries in attendance, walking around and learning about all of the local wineries of Ventura County was the best part. Majority of the wines in Ojai are in the Reds family, a lot of Malbecs, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabs and red blends. On a hot day like it was on the day of the festival I really wanted a rose or white but that wasn’t happening, so all the reds was fine with me too!

Also, fun music with a live band and tons of vendors to shop my little heart away makes me one happy lady.
The Ojai Wine Festival is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Rotary Club of Ojai-West Foundation which supports education, youth and women’s and children’s health and gives back to their local community such as local scholarships, high schools, theater and film and many more. I hope to see you there next year!
Where to Stay
After a day of wine and sun we stayed the night in the charming Ojai Village, which is a picturesque small town and the perfect little weekend getaway. We stayed at the Casa Ojai Inn which is a quiet hotel with the beautiful Topa Topa mountains as it’s backdrop. We had an Italian dinner at Ca’ Marco Ristorante and came back to our hotel to watch the sunset in the salt water pool and spa.
A road trip isn’t complete without a quick stop at the beach. Thank you to Mitsubishi for lending me the perfect Outlander for my road trip to Ojai California.
I really enjoyed reading your blog in Ojai. I’m planning a trip so I will definitely keep this kind. I felt like I was on this trip with you. Loved all the details in your blog. Thank you
I’m so glad you liked it. It’s such a cute little town and nice little weekend getaway.
Okay you convinced me. I’m so there next time! 60 plus wineries is a dream come true.
Yaaay! I can’t wait to take you with me next time. You are gonna love Ojai.
